Radiology Technician Licensing in South Carolina

South Carolina requires aspiring radiology technicians to obtain certification before they are allowed to work in the field. Applicants may successfully a state exam or the certification exam that is administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Before taking either exam, graduates must present proof they have completed a one or two year course of study in radiology at an approved institution. Upon successfully completing the state or national registry exam, the you are then eligible for a state certification. You must then pay the $50 state certification fee for a license that must be renewed every two years.
